Editorial Standards & Policy

AgLaborNews.com is committed to the highest standards of independent, accurate, and balanced agricultural journalism. This page outlines the editorial principles, sourcing standards, and correction procedures that govern all content published on our platform.

Editorial Independence

AgLaborNews.com maintains strict editorial independence. All editorial decisions — including story selection, sourcing, and framing — are made solely by our editorial team and are not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or commercial relationships. Advertising and editorial operations are completely separate.

Accuracy & Fact-Checking

  • All factual claims in editorial content are verified against primary sources (USDA, DOL, BLS, peer-reviewed research) before publication.
  • Statistics and data points are cited with source attribution in-text or via footnotes.
  • Proprietary claims from companies and organizations are labeled as such and presented in context.
  • Errors identified after publication are corrected promptly with a transparent correction notice appended to the article.

Source Standards

We require at least two independent sources for factual claims that are not derived from primary government or institutional data. Anonymous sources are used only when necessary to protect source safety and are always described by their role and expertise.

Conflicts of Interest

Editorial team members are required to disclose any personal or financial interests that may be relevant to stories they cover. Sponsored content and advertiser-provided material is clearly labeled as such and never presented as independent editorial.

Corrections Policy

We correct errors promptly and transparently. When a correction is made, we append a clearly dated correction notice to the article explaining what was changed and why. We do not silently edit factual errors.

Political Neutrality

AgLaborNews.com does not endorse political candidates, parties, or ballot measures. Our policy coverage presents multiple perspectives on contested regulatory and legislative issues.
